This visa is for parents whose age is equivalent to the eligibility age for an Australian Age pension. This visa allows aged parents to remain in Australia permanently, with their children who are living in Australia.
This visa requires you to be sponsored by your child, or another eligible sponsor, in Australia.
An aged parent applying for a parent visa application is not immediately entitled to an age pension after being granted a permanent visa.
Your spouse and other dependent family members may be included in your application if they meet certain requirements.
